It would be effective only if one swept with a vacuum. :) I remember years ago seeing folks beating their rugs and carpet outside to get the sand out. ec
i think it is very normal thing. it is better than no clenless. i dont understand uropean people who is entering home with their shoes. they walk in the dirty street then with the same shoes they walk in the house. disgusting.
Vacuuming is our mode of choice for cleaning rugs, not sweeping, I mean. And I agree, I like that people take off their shoes when they come into the house. Many Americans do this too.
