Hmmm, and here I was thinking the roads through Mexico were bad...reminds me a bit of what I saw in Nicaragua during the days of Daniel Ortega's first stint at the helm..construction sites were particularly unnerving. No barricades, signs, nothing. Just the hole in the macadam. If there were no workers at the site you never could see the hole until you were almost in it. These things you show are a bit mysterious. Can't quite tell whether it is something piled up on top of the surface, or the surface itself being pushed up from below...and if that, whatever could it be? Hmm, I know, a prehistoric tunneling dinosaur previously thought to be extinct......good job your driver was alert. Catch one of those at speed, and just right, the car would no longer be shiney side up. Oh, life is SOOOOOoooo boring here in the "developed world".

Needless to say, we slowed down considerably at this part of the raod! We joke about the most dangerous thing here being the roads!

Some theories were a water spring under the road... parts looked like depressions, other parts were reminiscent of small volcanoes!
