Oddity #5

Somehow, the Google on my computer has decided that I must be from Germany now that I am no longer in the U.S. This decision has not benefited Google, as I can no longer read their advertisements.

Some of the computers seem to have a mind of their own and don't want to be bothered by us humans. ec

Our machine did a similar thing when we were recently visitng Honduras. The last two letters of the url indicated it was a Honduras version of Google. But I think there was a way around that, I just can't remember what it was.

Colleen, yours is the first blog I've read that's worth reading. Thanks for being pithy. Thanks for being terse. (same thing?) Thanks for being witty. I need it, kwim?
yes, there's a way around the google thing. I can send you a link to search only US sites, or you can go to preferences and specify the search language. Guten tag!

I think your internet connnection is going through Germany. It would explain the hits to my blog from a German server. Assuming you still drop by that is. :)

Also, why are you complaining that not being able to read advertisments is a bad thing?

mreddie--funny, yes.

thainamu--thanks, but it is okay.

tracey--thank you.

nathan--that is probably the reason for all your Germany hits. I do still enjoy your posts. And I wasn't complaining. It was just an oddity.
