In the ==international== part of the SYstem Preferences utility (usually in the Dock) there will be a list of all available languages and fonts, choose the ones you want and the method for selection (keystroke sets to activate). Once you have the characters loaded and selected, open ==key caps== and you'll have a replica of the keyboard layout for that character set, showing what's where, and what changes when you use keys such as ==shift==, ==option==, etc. I've set up my own keyboard to shift at my command into spanish and german..for the accent marks and such..and whenever I can't find something (I searched all over for the symbol for the Brit Pound Sterling...) I simply open KeyCaps...wander through the non-character keys and it will show up..now I remember where it is. See: €, £, I just looked, and my computer has several fonts with characters like I've seen in pictures from the arab world...but I've no clue which one is which. This facility is part of why so many international business sorts prefer the Mac....nearly any language in the world can be accessed and typed with what is already in the OS disc....no downloading, extras, hunting around.....Nick Jeschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12590045434710159571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20110961.post-46438664727407642322007-10-03T12:00:00.000-05:002007-10-03T12:00:00.000-05:00If you have Windows XP on your computer, you shoul...If you have Windows XP on your computer, you should be able to go into the Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, and add Arabic (maybe K-ish too) as a language you can type. Then you should be able to type it wherever you want. I'm not sure how well it would show up on Blogger, though. It'll also take some time to figure out which letter is on which key. :-)

Hope that helps.Jeff Mosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08114418077449866628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20110961.post-81011301233577625752007-10-03T08:20:00.000-05:002007-10-03T08:20:00.000-05:00Here's a link that would get you an Arabic font fo...Here's a link that would get you an Arabic font for your computer. There is more to it than that, but this might get you started.

http://www.sil.org/computing/catalog/show_software.asp?id=109Thainamuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04703711227603939227noreply@blogger.com
